What Are the Tony Awards, and Why Do They Matter?
Often called the “Oscars of Theater,” the Tony Awards stand alongside the Oscars, Grammys, and Emmys as one of the four major American arts honors.
Since 1947, the Tonys have recognized the best of Broadway—actors, directors, writers, and designers—making it the gold standard of global theater.
But beyond the spotlight, the Tonys also inspire international arts education and the next generation of theatrical storytellers.

Why Start Theater Education in International Schools?
Theater isn’t just for adults. At MSB, young learners explore culture, empathy, and self-expression through role play, storytelling, and collaboration.
Montessori’s philosophy of “learning by doing” comes to life in drama class—where children develop both artistic awareness and global perspectives from an early age.
