Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Middle School Science Math Interdisciplinary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both science and math, as well as a deep understanding of how the two subjects can be effectively integrated in the middle school classroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and challenging lessons that align with our school's curriculum and standards. The teacher must have completed or willing to complete IB MYP teacher training for Math and Science.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, design, and deliver high-quality, interdisciplinary lessons that integrate science and math concepts for middle school students

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active student engagement and encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to meet the needs of diverse learners

• Assess student learning and provide regular feedback on their progress to inform instructional decisions and adjust instruction as needed

• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement cross-curricular projects and activities that enhance student learning

• Attend and actively participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school-related events as required

• To follow standards, and guidelines as outlined in the employee and teaching handbooks

• Other duties as requested by Principal and/or Head of School.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or Math (Master's degree preferred)

• Valid teaching certification in Science and Math (Middle School)

• IB MYP Certification an asset

• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in middle school science and math

• Strong knowledge of interdisciplinary teaching strategies and pedagogies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and effectively engage with students and parents

• Experience with technology integration in the classroom is a plus
